Job summary

Sword Group is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager in the United Kingdom to lead the delivery of digital and technology initiatives across IT and business functions. You will oversee end-to-end projects, drive product development with technical teams, and support R&D and innovation programs in a regulated environment.

The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, cross-functional coordination, and adherence to delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning, risk management and reporting capabilities.
• Experience with project governance, reporting and financial management.
• Experience delivering IT projects in regulated industries such as energy/utilities/infrastructure.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT and digital projects across IT and business functions.
• Manage full project lifecycle from initiation to delivery and transition to support.
• Drive product development initiatives with technical teams and stakeholders.
• Support R&D and innovation projects.
• Engage and manage stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage risks, issues and dependencies
• Ensure delivery frameworks and organisational standards are followed
• Monitor progress, performance and financials of projects
• Track experience delivering IT projects in complex, regulated environments
