Job summary

Sword Group is seeking an experienced Technical Operations Manager to lead our global operational function, spanning digital workplace, infrastructure, cloud platforms, application support, integration and database services.

You will drive operational excellence, service performance and customer outcomes while coaching operational teams to deliver reliable, high-quality technology services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technical operations or Managed Services teams.
• Strong knowledge of Managed Services operating models and practices.
• Experience using observability, monitoring and service-health data to improve performance.
• Ability to turn operational evidence into practical action.
• Experience implementing automation across runbooks and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technical Operations function across digital workplace, infrastructure, cloud platforms, application support, integration and database services.
• Hold accountability for operational performance, service maturity, customer outcomes and delivery against service commitments.
• Manage operational leads as one function with consistent standards for ownership, observability and escalation.
• Drive improvements through monitoring data, capacity metrics and runbooks.
• Own readiness for new customers and changes, including acceptance criteria and support models.
• Recruit, coach and performance-manage the Technical Operations leadership and engineering teams.
