Job summary

Staffline Recruitment is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex ICT projects within a large public-sector environment in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on delivering digital transformation initiatives, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate has extensive ICT project management experience, a strong track record of delivering on time and within budget, and a recognised project management qualification.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent qualification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a project management role within a major organisation (Option 1) or minimum of 5 years in such a role (Option 2).
• Experience leading an ICT project valued at over £100,000, or leading a complex workstream within an ICT project/programme valued at over £5 million.
• At least 3 years' experience managing teams.
• A recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2/MSPP/ PMP or equivalent).
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex ICT projects within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Develop and manage project plans, governance structures, risk registers, and reporting processes.
• Work with stakeholders to develop business cases and identify technology solutions.
• Review business operations, strategies, and performance requirements to identify ICT improvements.
• Manage project budgets, including capital and revenue expenditure.
• Procure and implement ICT systems, solutions, and services with external suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with PRINCE2 and organisational project management standards.
• Produce and present project reports, recommendations, and progress updates to senior stakeholders.
• Manage project teams and administration resources.
• Lead post-project reviews and capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
• Liaise with programme managers to ensure successful delivery and alignment of objectives.
