Job summary

Aegis Group in Fyfield, Oxfordshire, is seeking a proactive IT Support Engineer to join the team and support clients across Oxfordshire and beyond.

The role focuses on networking, security and connectivity, with hands-on troubleshooting and escalation for 1st line issues in a Cisco/Fortinet environment.

You will provide onsite and remote support, perform configuration, maintenance and project work while delivering professional, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Networking TCP/IP and connectivity with routers, switches and firewalls.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving LAN/WAN/VLAN and site-to-site VPNs.
• Experience with wireless infrastructure and patching, backups and server maintenance.
• Experience documenting network configurations and diagrams.
• Customer-focused, professional communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support to clients across multiple locations.
• Act as escalation point for unresolved 1st line issues.
• Diagnose connectivity issues across LANs/WANs/VLANs and VPNs.
• Configure and support network hardware and software.
• Contribute to IT projects such as office moves and network upgrades.
• Maintain IT security policies and best practices.
