IT Infrastructure Manager | Digital Transformation Lead

Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to shape and support Birmingham Hippodrome’s technology environment during major modernization. You will lead day-to-day operations, maintain secure, high-performing infrastructure, and manage two IT Engineers.

You will drive improvements in identity and device management, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, and service delivery, working with colleagues and suppliers to deliver resilient, user-focused tech services.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in IT infrastructure
• Experience administering identity and endpoint management
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 services
• Experience maintaining secure production environments
• Strong experience working with IT service desks, including ticket triage, user support and continuous service improvement
• Previous line management experience desirable
• Collaborative, supportive, people-focused and positive approach
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check
• Availability for a minimum of 3 days onsite per week
• Willingness to occasionally work evenings and weekends during key projects

Responsibilities

• Shape and support Birmingham Hippodrome’s technology environment during significant change and modernisation
• Maintain secure, reliable and high-performing infrastructure and end-user services
• Drive improvements across identity and device management, networking, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, operational support and service delivery
• Lead day-to-day technical operations
• Line manage two IT Engineers
• Work with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver resilient, well-governed and user-focused technology services
• Contribute to digital transformation, security and compliance improvements, modern tools and improved ways of working
• Support collaboration, innovation and excellent service across the organisation
• Troubleshoot issues and roll out new tools and technology
• Deliver a major infrastructure refresh, including fibre connectivity, network switching and core infrastructure
