Job summary

Design ID Consulting Limited is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to own the day-to-day IT function across the business. This hands-on role supports engineering teams and has scope to shape automation and smarter processes.

You will manage Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune and SharePoint; handle device lifecycle and security, and coordinate with external vendors to maintain a robust, compliant IT environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or IT.
• Minimum of 4 years' IT infrastructure or support experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end IT service delivery, handling 1st to 3rd line support.
• Administer and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure — Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune and SharePoint.
• Manage the full device lifecycle: procurement, laptop and PC builds, provisioning, and mobile device management across iOS and Windows.
• Handle user onboarding and offboarding, access control and device compliance.
• Maintain our security posture — MFA, endpoint protection, email filtering, patching and vulnerability management.
• Support Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 compliance, including documentation, infrastructure mapping and evidence gathering.
• Own backup and disaster recovery planning, and test it regularly.
• Coordinate external vendors and suppliers, and manage service relationships.
• Administer business systems and produce regular reporting.
• Identify and deliver improvements through automation and better process design.
