Job summary

Erin Associates in Wakefield is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join an established IT team and help manage both on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on maintaining Windows Server environments, AD, and Microsoft 365 services while supporting users across multiple sites surrounding Wakefield.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Office 365, Intune and Azure, solid networking knowledge, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an infrastructure support role.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory skills.
• Experience with Office 365, Intune and Azure.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and networking.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+, MS 365) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Designing, installing, and supporting infrastructure including local hardware and cloud services.
• Analyzing and resolving technical problems while improving processes.
• Planning and implementing new infrastructure with the IT team.
• Resolving software configuration, compatibility, and network issues.
• Covering multiple sites across Yorkshire, mainly Wakefield.

Salary: £35,000 - 38,000 per year

Requirements:

• IT Infrastructure Engineer – Wakefield
• £35,000 - £38,000 + great benefits
• Proven experience in an Infrastructure support role
• Proficiency in Windows Servers and Active Directory
• Experience with Office 365, Intune, and Azure
• Understanding of various IT Software and Hardware
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Strong networking skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Relevant certifications are desirable (CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft 365 certified, ITIL 4 Foundation, etc.)
• A full driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role

Responsibilities:

• As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of our established team supporting a user base of several thousand. Your responsibilities will include:
• Designing, installing, and supporting critical systems and infrastructure, including local hardware and cloud services
• Analyzing and resolving technical problems while developing new practices and procedures to enhance performance
• Planning and implementing new infrastructure systems alongside our wider IT team
• Resolving software configuration, compatibility, and interaction issues, as well as server and network communication problemsli>
• Covering multiple sites across Yorkshire, with most of your time spent in Wakefield
