Job summary

VANRATH is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer in Larne to support and maintain our client's technology environment. This hands-on role covers networks, servers, endpoints and connected devices on a busy operational site.

You will troubleshoot issues, implement improvements and work with internal teams and suppliers to keep systems reliable and secure. Minimum 2 years' experience required; permanent, full-time role with standard hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and technical support.
• Experience across networks, servers and endpoint environments.
• Exposure to connected/IoT devices and operational technology.
• Familiarity with infrastructure applications and systems.
• Experience with IT service management processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support across IT infrastructure, networks, servers and endpoints.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, owning them through to resolution.
• Maintain a secure, reliable IT environment with updates and maintenance.
• Collaborate with IT teams and third-party suppliers on issues and projects.
• Contribute to IT processes, documentation and business continuity.

• Location: Larne
• Contract: Permanent, full-time
• Work Pattern: Monday-Friday, standard operational hours

We're working with an established organisation looking to add an experienced IT professional to its infrastructure team. This is a hands-on position supporting the technology environment across a busy operational site, with responsibility for keeping systems reliable, secure and well maintained.

What You'll be Doing

• Provide day-to-day technical support across IT infrastructure, networks, servers, endpoints and connected devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across a range of systems and applications, taking ownership through to resolution.
• Help maintain a secure, reliable and well-managed IT environment, including system updates, maintenance and ongoing improvements.
• Work alongside wider IT teams and third-party suppliers on technical issues, changes and improvement projects.
• Contribute to IT processes, documentation, system standards and business continuity.
• Support the introduction and development of new technologies and digital solutions across the site.

Experience

We're looking for an IT professional with at least 2 years' experience who has gained hands-on exposure to infrastructure and technical support.

You'll ideally have experience across:

• Networks, servers and endpoint environments
• Connected/IoT devices and operational technology
• Infrastructure applications and systems
• General troubleshooting and technical problem solving
• IT service management processes
