Job summary

VanRath in Magherafelt is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to join a growing IT team. This hands-on role covers infrastructure, cloud, networking and end-user tech, with hybrid working patterns and standard hours.

You will support and develop the IT environment, participate in projects and improvement initiatives, and help keep systems secure and reliable across Microsoft 365, Azure and network services. The ideal candidate brings a broad IT background and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Infrastructure / Technical Support with Microsoft technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving across IT support.
• Familiarity with cyber principles and security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across infrastructure, systems, applications and end-user technologies.
• Manage and maintain cloud, server, network and endpoint environments, ensuring reliability and security.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution with internal teams or suppliers.
• Contribute to IT projects, system improvements, and technology upgrades from planning to implementation.
• Support security, compliance, monitoring and maintenance requirements.
• Improve internal IT processes, documentation and user support for efficiency.

We're working with a growing organisation looking to appoint a Technical Services Engineer to support and develop its wider IT environment.

The Role

This is a hands-on role which will involve assisting and covering infrastructure, cloud, networking and end-user technology. It will appeal to a person who is wanting to expand their skillset and get involved in projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll be Doing

• Provide technical support across a broad range of infrastructure, systems, applications and end-user technologies.
• Manage and maintain the organisation's cloud, server, network and endpoint environments, ensuring systems remain reliable and secure.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, taking ownership through to resolution and working with internal teams or external suppliers where required.
• Contribute to IT projects, system improvements and technology upgrades, from initial planning through to implementation and ongoing support.
• Support the organisation's wider security, compliance, monitoring and maintenance requirements.
• Help improve internal IT processes, documentation and user support while identifying opportunities to make the technology environment more efficient.

Experience

We're looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure / Technical Support professional with strong Microsoft technologies and a broad technical skillset.
