Doncasters is seeking a hands-on Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to own and evolve a hybrid infrastructure across Azure, M365, Entra ID, Windows and Linux, plus virtualization and networking. You will drive automation, security and resilience, contributing to major transformation programmes and cyber-ready operations.

The role focuses on cloud governance, identity management, disaster recovery and high-availability services, with responsibility for incident resolution and continuous service

Qualificações

• Hands-on expertise across Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server and core infrastructure services.
• Strong enterprise networking and firewall troubleshooting across multi-vendor environments.
• Certifications in Microsoft, Veeam, VMware, Hyper-V, Linux, networking or automation are advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Administer and secure Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and AD services, supporting cloud governance and access controls.
• Maintain Windows and Linux servers, VMware/Hyper-V environments, ensuring platform reliability and security.
• Manage and improve backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Rubrik) and support DR testing and cyber resilience.
• Contribute to infrastructure migrations, data centre modernisation, platform upgrades and hybrid cloud initiatives.
• Develop scripts and automation using PowerShell and other tools; improve monitoring and endpoint management.
• Support enterprise networking, firewalls, endpoint security, vulnerability remediation and privileged access management.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, contribute to major incidents and root-cause analysis; improve service reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to strengthen infrastructure standards.

The Role

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Operations function, supporting and evolving our European technology environment.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a broad hybrid infrastructure estate spanning Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, Windows and Linux servers, virtualisation, enterprise networking, backup and disaster recovery.

You will play a key role in maintaining secure, resilient and reliable IT services while contributing to major infrastructure transformation programmes, platform modernisation, automation and continual service improvement.

Key responsibilities:

• Cloud, Microsoft 365 & Identity: Administer and secure Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Active Directory services, supporting cloud governance, identity management and access controls.

• Server & Virtualisation: Maintain Windows and Linux servers, core infrastructure services, VMware and Hyper-V environments, ensuring platform reliability, security and performance.

• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Manage and improve backup and recovery solutions, including Veeam and Rubrik, supporting disaster recovery testing, immutable backups and cyber resilience.

• Infrastructure Transformation: Contribute to infrastructure migrations, data centre modernisation, platform upgrades, site consolidation and hybrid cloud initiatives.

• Automation & Monitoring: Develop scripts and automation using PowerShell and other tools, while improving infrastructure monitoring, endpoint management and operational efficiency.

• Networking & Security: Support enterprise networking, firewalls, endpoint security, vulnerability remediation and privileged access management.

• Incident Management & Service Improvement: Troubleshoot complex technical issues, contribute to major incident resolution and root‑cause analysis, and identify opportunities to improve service reliability.

• Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures, collaborate with internal teams and suppliers, and share knowledge to strengthen infrastructure standards and team capability.
