Job summary

ALPLA Group in Golborne (WA3) is seeking a UK IT Helpdesk Technician to deliver responsive first- and second-line support to our UK employees, onsite at Golborne with occasional visits to other locations.

You will log, triage, resolve, and escalate incidents within SLAs, manage the helpdesk queue, deploy devices, and support Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools, while ensuring security and company standards.

Qualifications

• 12 months experience in a 1st line support role within a medium to large organization.
• Multi-site experience would be distinct advantage (remote access support).
• Motivated and enthusiastic individual with a positive and problem-solving approach to tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, personable and approachable.

Job description

• Provide responsive first-line and second-line IT support to UK employees through ServiceNow, telephone, email, remote support tools and face-to-face assistance.
• Take day-to-day ownership of the helpdesk queue by logging, triaging, prioritising, resolving and escalating incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
• Deliver visible, hands-on IT support at the employee's assigned site and provide planned support visits to other UK locations when required.
• Install, configure, maintain and securely manage workplace technology, including computers, mobile devices, telephony, printers, scanners and network-connected equipment.
• Maintain reliable access to corporate services while following ALPLA security, operational and documentation standards.
• Work closely with UK IT, Regional IT, Corporate IT, site management, business users, suppliers and equipment manufacturers.
