Job summary

Solus is seeking an IT Field Engineer to provide onsite and remote technical support across UK sites using our Evolve software. You will resolve complex incidents, mentor 1st Line Engineers, and manage tickets to meet priorities while travelling between locations.

You will install, configure and support IT systems, escalate when needed, and report risks to IT leadership. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows OS, Office 365 and Azure.
• Experience with FreshService and ITIL v4.
• Working knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Self-awareness to know when to say no.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues across varied environments.
• Install, configure and support IT systems.
• Guide and support 1st Line IT Engineers.
• Escalate issues when needed and coordinate with the team.
• Report risks and cyber incidents to IT leadership.
• Follow internal documentation for consistency.
• Provide end-user requests understanding and logs.
• Prepare devices for deployment and roll out to sites.
• Transport and securely handle IT equipment between locations.
• Support new-site openings and other IT activities onsite.
• Assist with decommissioning and site clearances.
• Work independently with regular progress updates to Service Desk.
• Care for company equipment and vehicles during travel.
