Qualifications

Job Title: EUC IT Desktop Support Technician

Job Type & Location: Onsite | 5 days a week (40 hrs/week) | Range Road, Witney OX29 0YL

Job Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of strong experience providing IT Infrastructure field support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues, ensuring hardware warranty and security compliance.
• Experience in installing, troubleshooting, and fixing desktops, printers, laptops, and peripherals, as well as desktop applications.
• Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts. Ability to perform hands-on activities under instruction at sites.
• Ability to lift/move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Expertise in desk-side support and PC repair, including basic administration of Windows O/S and MAC/Linux OS (preferred).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
• Support for peripherals and networking hardware, including monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, racks, and data panels under 'Smart Hands' capabilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot system and network issues using deductive reasoning, including end-user cabling issues.
• Experience in call analysis and developing preventive measures, along with problem management.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with clients and management.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work proactively, and with a sense of urgency.
• Customer management skills and ability to interact at different levels.

Qualifications:

• Preferably an Associate Degree in Electronics and CompTIA A+ Certification.
• Vendor certifications from OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, etc.) are a plus.
• Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.
