Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking an IT Coach / Assessor to support learners working towards ICT Apprenticeships at Level 3. Remote role with limited travel for team meetings.

The successful candidate will coach, assess, and embed Functional Skills Maths and English, while managing learner progress and meeting end-point assessment readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching or assessing learners on ICT Apprenticeships at Level 3.
• Holder of an Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA) or Level 3 teaching cert.
• Relevant ICT qualification (Level 4 or above) with occupational experience.
• Comfortable using IT and online systems; willing to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assess and coach Level 3 ICT Apprenticeship learners.
• Embed Functional Skills Maths and English in delivery.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments and plan interventions.
• Manage your diary to ensure timely reviews.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery as needed.
• Maintain learner progress documentation and track completion timelines.

Job Title: IT Coach / Assessor

Location: Remote working - with very limited travel for team meetings

Salary: up to £45,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Essential Criteria To Apply

• The successful candidate must have experience coaching or assessing learners working towards ICT Apprenticeships at Level 3 (ideally IT Support Technician).
• Hold a recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA) and/or a Level 3 Teaching qualification or above.
• Must hold a relevant ICT qualification (Level 4 or above) and occupational experience appropriate to the level being delivered.
• Experience of preparing learners for End Point Assessment.
• Excellent IT skills and confident with the use of IT and online systems.
• Must be flexible with travel as required.

Duties

• Assess and coach learners who are undertaking their Level 3 ICT Apprenticeship.
• Embed Functional Skills Maths and English in to delivery.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, to ensure learner needs are identified and any targeted interventions are put in to place.
• Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews are conducted.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Work to learner review and completion timescales, ensuring readiness for end point assessment
