Job summary

Client Server Limited in London is seeking a senior IT Client Services Analyst to provide 1st and 2nd line support in a fast-paced trading environment, including traders and VIPs. The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership and project delivery.

You will mentor colleagues, work with 3rd line teams, and drive major IT rollouts across the UK and international offices, with a hybrid work setup and shifts from 7am to 6pm.

Qualifications

• Computer Science degree plus industry certifications.
• Senior desktop support/IT operations in finance or trading environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Office 365, Azure/Entra, Intune and AD.
• Familiar with Bloomberg and trading apps like Fidessa/Tradeweb/Citi Velocity.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Cisco telephony, Exchange, and networking basics.
• PowerShell scripting with Python and basic Linux.

Responsibilities

• Own 1st and 2nd line incidents and requests, with escalations to 3rd line.
• Collaborate with 3rd line teams on complex issues and run large IT rollouts.
• Act as technical lead and mentor to analysts, developing team capabilities.
• Escalate IT issues across non-US locations in the absence of the IT Client Services Manager.
• Support shifts on a 7am–6pm weekly rota, with on-site London office involvement.

IT Client Services Analyst London / WFH to £100k

Do you have expertise with 1st to 3rd line support within trading environments?

You could be progressing your career at a hugely profitable Hedge Fund.

This IT Client Services Analyst position is a senior, hands-on support role providing a high quality, white-glove IT service to employees across the business, including traders, portfolio managers and senior c-suite executives.

Working within a small, fast-paced team, you'll take ownership of 1st and 2nd line incidents and requests, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and with minimal disruption. You'll also work closely with 3rd line teams on more complex technical issues and lead larger initiatives, including hardware and software rollouts across UK and international offices.

Alongside your technical responsibilities, you'll act as a technical lead and mentor to other analysts, helping to develop the team's capabilities and maintain a consistent global support service. You'll also be a key escalation point for IT issues across non-US locations in the absence of the IT Client Services Manager.

Location / WFH:

You'll join colleagues in prestigious Central London offices (with onsite restaurant, gym etc.) on a fulltime basis, please note there are shifts on a weekly rota covering 7am to 6pm.

About you:

• You have achieved a Computer Science degree, plus at least one industry certification e.g. CompTIA A+ / Network+ /Security+, Microsoft MCP/MCSA/MCSE and ITIL or Agile certification
• You have strong experience in a senior desktop support or IT operations role within a financial services, hedge fund, or trading environment, including supporting traders and VIPs under pressure
• You have an indepth technical understanding of Windows 10/11, Office 365, Azure/Entra, Intune, Active Directory, and Citrix products (Workspace, XenDesktop, VMware)
• You have an in-depth knowledge of Bloomberg and are familiar with trading applications (e.g. Fidessa, Tradeweb, Citi Velocity) and AI tools (e.g. Anthropic, Copilot)
• You have experience with ServiceNow incident management, Cisco IP telephony, Exchange administration and networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS)
• You have PowerShell scripting skills combined with knowledge of Python and basic Linux
• You have technical leadership skills including mentoring engineers, managing complex incidents, and driving large scale IT projects
• You are calm and professional under pressure, keen to take ownership and have strong attention to detail
• You're collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
