South West Water Limited on the Isles of Scilly invites applications for an Operations Technician. You will support operation, maintenance, and improvement of water assets across the islands to ensure a continuous supply of high-quality water to communities.

Role requires GCSEs and a UK driving licence; strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. The role offers a competitive salary with the Operator Progression Scheme and standby/payments, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs including Maths, English and a Science subject.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing demands.
• Experience working safely within procedures and risk assessments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Monitoring and managing raw water sources.
• Operating and maintaining water treatment processes in line with procedures.
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across sites and networks.
• Repairing and replacing network assets, responding to bursts and meters.
• Calibrating instrumentation, collecting data and identifying leaks.
• Using handheld and online tech to monitor performance and diagnose faults.
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
• Collaborating with Operations and Engineering teams.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and site stock.
• Undertaking general site maintenance and standby duties.
