Job summary

South East Water is seeking a technically minded Process Technician to operate, monitor and maintain water production sites across the Maidstone area. You will manage water level and flow, monitor treatment processes, and support incidents with on-call standby. A driving licence and IT skills are essential.

Salary range 35,630–44,188 GBP per year plus a company van; 37-hour week with 1-in-7 standby. Training and career progression are offered within a supportive production team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in process operations.
• Medically able to work in confined spaces.
• A valid driving licence.
• Confident using IT and computers.
• Good attention to detail.
• Experience in water treatment processes.
• Water industry recognised qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain water treatment processes at production sites to ensure reliable, efficient operation.
• Control and monitor correct use of chemicals within treatment processes, including receipt and delivery.
• Assist with Confined Space Entry where needed.
• Liaise with contractors and supervise works on sites.
• Complete administration for reactive and planned maintenance.
• Carry out general site duties and keep sites clean and tidy.
• Monitor security of production sites and issue Permits to Work as required.
• Assist with capital works as needed.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and SOPs.
• Take part in standby rota to provide out-of-hours support.
