Job summary

Turf Irrigation Services (Scotland) Limited is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive growth across the irrigation sector in Scotland. You will develop new business, manage relationships with customers and lead end-to-end sales from enquiry to handover.

This full-time role requires a proactive sales professional with technical understanding to deliver cost-effective irrigation solutions across sectors including agriculture, horticulture, landscapes, and sports turf.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a sales or business development role.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout Scotland and occasionally elsewhere in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth targets.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout the UK.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry through to quotation, negotiation and project handover.
• Visit customer sites to understand requirements and develop appropriate irrigation solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial tenders.
• Work closely with the technical, design and installation teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities within the irrigation industry.
• Attend trade shows, industry events and customer meetings to promote the company and develop new relationships.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms while protecting company margins.
• Identify opportunities for additional products, services and ongoing maintenance contracts.
