Job summary

Turf Irrigation Services (Scotland) Limited is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead business development across agriculture, horticulture, landscaping and sports turf. You will manage the full sales cycle from enquiry to contract, build long-term relationships and deliver practical, cost-effective irrigation solutions.

The role requires a proactive, customer-focused approach, strong negotiation skills and willingness to travel across Scotland.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a sales or business development role.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach to identifying and winning new business.
• Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities and projects simultaneously.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of margins and profitability.
• Confident using CRM systems, Microsoft Office and other standard business software.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel throughout Scotland and occasionally elsewhere in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth targets.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout the UK.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry through to quotation, negotiation and project handover.
• Visit customer sites to understand requirements and develop appropriate irrigation solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial tenders.
• Work closely with the technical, design and installation teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
