Job summary

Rotaflow Talent Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic Area Sales Manager to cover the Scotland region, developing a growing customer base across Scotland, building relationships and delivering technically informed solutions.

You will work with internal engineering and sales teams to develop quotations, visit customers, identify opportunities, and expand gross margin while maintaining strong account management. The role offers training and a clear path for progression.

Qualifications

• Commercially driven with previous industrial, technical sales or business development experience.
• Knowledge of industrial customers across Teesside and surrounding areas.
• Technically curious with an understanding of Process Engineering applications.
• Able to discuss technical and commercial requirements with customers.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a structured sales plan for the Scotland territory.
• Identify, target and develop new customer opportunities.
• Grow sales and gross margin across existing customer accounts.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and key decision makers.
• Regularly visit customers and prospects to understand their requirements and identify new opportunities.
• Maintain excellent relationships with existing customers.
• Understand customers’ businesses, applications, challenges and future requirements.
• Identify opportunities to increase the share of wallet within existing accounts.
• Develop a good working knowledge of the product portfolio; in-depth technical background in Valves / Instrumentation or Flow Control is desirable.
• Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Work closely with the internal engineering and sales teams to develop technically and commercially appropriate quotations.
