Job summary

Polypipe, part of the Genuit Group, is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow our business across regions of the Republic of Ireland. You will manage merchant partners and contractors, leveraging construction sector knowledge to win new opportunities and expand product offerings.

The role combines strategic account development with hands-on relationship building, enabling you to influence growth across ROI and build a strong project pipeline.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction-related sales.
• Strong knowledge of the wider construction market.
• Ability to communicate technical products, solutions and commercial propositions.
• Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with ownership of a territory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
• Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key customer relationships and build long-term partnerships.
• Drive profitable sales growth by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable product solutions.
• Maintain awareness of market conditions, competitor activity and opportunities across the region.
• Develop sales of the Genuit Group product portfolio with merchant and contractor customers.
• Build and actively manage a prospect pipeline, targeting new accounts and opportunities to increase market share.
• Partner with key merchants on regular branch and account reviews to enhance ranges and sales.
• Develop pipeline of project opportunities through relationships with contractors, specifiers and M&E consultants.
• Review customer and sales data to support commercial decision-making.
• Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns, promotions and sales initiatives.
