Job summary

The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Radiographer to join the Interventional Radiology team. The post may start as a Band 5 Trainee IR Radiographer with an accelerated pathway to Band 6, including comprehensive training and leadership development.

This is a part-time 0.5 WTE position (18.75 hours) offering flexible working and potential sponsorship discussions. The service covers IR theatre, cardiac labs and fluoroscopy suites across Cornwall.

Qualifications

• DCR(R) or BSc Hons (Radiography) in Diagnostic Imaging; HCPC registration.
• Post-graduate qualification desirable.
• Portfolio evidence of CPD and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Work with IR Team Leader to ensure efficient, cost-effective IR service.
• Provide 7-day and out-of-hours IR service including on-call; act as shift co-ordinator.
• Make operational decisions out of hours in absence of senior staff.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure optimum patient care.
