Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust invites a Radiographer with substantial Interventional Radiology experience to join our friendly multidisciplinary Radiology team. The role involves rotation through interventional suite, theatres and fluoroscopy, and is a part-time 30-hour post.

You will participate in the 24/7 interventional on-call rota, including some Bank Holidays, and contribute to leadership, staff organisation and delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Extensive post qualification experience in General Radiography.
• Evidence of CPD.
• Radiography Degree/ Diploma of the College of Radiographers.
• Full HCPC Registration.
• High standards of radiographic skills.
• High standard of patient care.
• Ability to understand, absorb and comply with detailed procedures.
• Mentorship skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all radiographic examinations maintaining a high quality, patient focussed service.
• Take a lead role in General, Fluoroscopy and Interventional Service.
• Participate in a 7 day, 24 hour working shift rota.
• Participate in the Interventional Radiology on-call Service.
• Deputise for Band 7 radiographers when necessary.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
• Lead with staff organisation and workflow.
