Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Employment Specialists to deliver the IPS model and support people with mental health conditions into sustained employment. You will work with employers, healthcare professionals and service users to create meaningful, supported job opportunities.

The role requires travel to meetings with colleagues, service users and local employers and involves providing coaching and guidance throughout the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people with complex mental health needs.
• Knowledge and experience of recovery and social inclusion principles.
• Ability to engage with employers across all industries and recruitment sectors.
• Knowledge of disability, benefits and employment legislation as it relates to service users.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IPS as part of an integrated recovery plan for mental health service users.
• Work with employers to identify and secure employment opportunities.
• Provide ongoing support to employees and employers as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community organisations to coordinate support.
