Job summary

Shaw Trust in Wiltshire is seeking an IPS Employment Specialist to support people with mental health needs to secure and sustain paid employment using the IPS approach. You will work one-to-one with clients, guiding them from exploring ambitions to job searching, securing roles and succeeding in the workplace.

This community-based, peripatetic role involves meeting clients, employers and clinical teams across the community with little to no home working.

• Confident communicator
• Enjoys working independently and thrives on building relationships
• Willingness to work in a community-based, peripatetic role in Wiltshire

Responsibilities

• Building relationships and engaging new referrals
• Exploring skills, strengths and career aspirations through vocational profiling
• Developing personalised employment action plans
• Identifying and securing suitable job opportunities
• Working directly with employers to create successful job matches
• Providing in-work support to both clients and employers
• Supporting individuals towards independence as ongoing support is gradually reduced
