Job summary

Blackpool Council is hiring an IPS Employment Specialist in Chorley on a permanent basis. The role requires 37 hours per week and delivery of the Individual Placement and Support service to help clients with health conditions or barriers to employment secure paid work.

Travel to local employers and community settings is expected, with full training provided. Applicants should have Level 3 in IAG or equivalent or at least two years of employment support experience, plus strong communication and

• Level 3 in IAG or equivalent or minimum 2 years experience providing employment support, advice and guidance.
• Ability to travel locally and have use of a vehicle on a daily basis.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IPS employment support model with full training provided.
• Build relationships with local employers to create opportunities for clients.
• Manage a caseload of clients with mental health conditions or barriers to work to secure suitable paid employment.
• Travel locally to deliver services in town centre offices and community settings.
