Job summary

Open Road is recruiting an Employment Specialist to help people with health needs move into paid work using the IPS approach. You will engage with employers, provide supported employment, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team in Thurrock.

You should have IPS knowledge, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to drive and visit employers. The role is full-time, with a Monday–Friday pattern and a salary of £29,000 per year.

Qualifications

• You will have some knowledge of IPS.
• We would like you to have experience talking to employers and helping people into work.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships from frontline staff to CEO level.
• Negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
• Ability to drive and access to your own car.
• Proven ability to build rapport with people, especially those affected by health conditions or substance misuse.
• Boundless enthusiasm, excellent teamwork and the ability to work in a target-driven environment.
• Strong written, verbal and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver supported employment to people in community treatment for substance misuse.
• Engage with employers to match people into meaningful work.
• Work as part of the IPS team to help people into paid employment in line with IPS principles.
