Job summary

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Matron with significant IP&C experience to lead and develop the Infection Prevention and Control Service.

The post holder will deputise for the Deputy Director of Infection Prevention, implement the Board Assurance Framework, drive quality improvement, and contribute to education and practice development across the Trust. They will participate in on-call IPC rota at weekends and lead staff through formal development.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Infection Prevention and Control (IP&C).
• Experience in leadership development and staff education in IPC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Trust's Board Assurance Framework for Infection Prevention.
• Lead the IP&C Service and deputise for the Deputy/Associate Chief Nursing Officer in IPC matters.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Engage in staff education, practice development, and leadership of IPC practice.
• Participate in IP&C on-call rota at weekends and ensure standards are met.
