Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Finance Partner to deliver comprehensive accounting support, month-end processes, and insightful reporting. The role is hybrid, based from Warwick or Wokingham, with flexible working arrangements and full-time option.

You will work with the Senior Finance Partner to provide financial insights, manage governance and controls, and support strategic business decisions across NESO.

Qualifications

• Qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
• Experience in management or project accounting, planning, forecasting and budgeting.
• Strong governance, risk and internal control understanding.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end accounting processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Deliver high-quality reporting, packs and commentary for decision makers.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure robust financial reporting and controls.
• Support external audits and respond to related queries.
• Provide ad-hoc training to improve financial literacy and skills.
