Job summary

IFGlobal is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to support two sites in Christchurch and Hurn on a fixed term contract. You will lead the inventory team, oversee stock movements and audits, and resolve discrepancies to keep stock accurate and available.

This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving and collaboration with clients and operations to maintain high standards and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in inventory control within a warehouse, logistics or 3PL environment.
• Previous experience supervising, leading or developing a warehouse or inventory team.
• Strong knowledge of WMS, stock control processes and inventory management principles.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and organisation.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel to analyse data, track stock and produce reports.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work collaboratively, take ownership and continuously look for ways to improve.
• 40 hours per week Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day inventory activities, including stock movements, cycle counts, audits, replenishment and returns.
• Supervise, train and support the inventory team, allocating work and monitoring performance against operational targets and KPIs.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and variances, identifying root causes and putting corrective actions in place.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS and Excel, producing reports and analysis for management and clients.
• Act as a key contact for inventory-related client queries, ensuring client procedures, SLAs and audit requirements are consistently met.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, efficiency and accuracy while maintaining company, health & safety and compliance standards.

About the role

As an Inventory Supervisor (fixed term contract), you’ll play a key role in keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly by ensuring stock is accurate, controlled and available when it’s needed. You’ll lead and support the inventory team, oversee stock movements and audits, investigate discrepancies and work closely with clients and operational teams to maintain high standards. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, problem-solving and a proactive approach will make a real difference to the accuracy and efficiency of our operation. You will be required to travel across two sites based across Christchurch and Hurn.
