Job summary

Yusen Logistics is seeking a motivated Inventory Controller based at our Northampton SDC (NN7 2FR). The role focuses on stock integrity, cycle counts, and KPI delivery for the contract, with a Monday–Friday shift from 14:00 to 22:00 and a salary of £32,142.36 per year plus a shift allowance of £832.

You will manage stock files, set up locations, assist with stock takes, investigate discrepancies, and drive process improvements while following health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory/stock control is essential.
• Knowledge of inventory/warehouse operations is essential.
• Desirable knowledge of Manhattan Active WMS.
• Familiarity with KAIZEN principles.
• Continuous improvement mindset and proven initiatives.
• Strong organization and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent communication and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Excel and Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Carry out perpetual cycle counting to standard.
• Investigate discrepancies and reconcile per procedures.
• Assist with stock takes as required.
• Conduct accurate pallet checks.
• Resolve customer queries to satisfaction.
• Maintain stock files and warehouse locations.
• Support relocation of designated warehouse areas.
• Meet deadlines and escalate issues when needed.
• Improve processes to drive efficiency and service.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality management.
