Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions Limited is seeking a dedicated Stock Controller / Inventory Specialist in the Somerset area (Yeovil commutable) to safeguard stock integrity and support daily production. The role combines hands-on warehouse duties with accurate inventory management and timely communication with purchasing teams.

The successful candidate will have proven stock control experience, familiarity with food manufacturing or FMCG environments, and forklift operation credentials.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control or stores role.
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG helpful.
• Forklift certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain real-time inventory records across all product lines.
• Manage stock rotation and warehouse organisation to minimise waste and optimise space.
• Receive deliveries, inspect goods for quality, and complete receiving paperwork.
• Pick, batch, and prepare materials to support daily production schedules.
• Operate material handling equipment and forklifts to transfer and store goods safely.
• Accurately picking, labeling, and staging pallets for outgoing transport.
• Conduct physical stocktakes and cycle counts to resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to maintain stock levels.
