Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Leader for our Blyth site. This full-time role operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, with weekly rotating hours from 07:00–17:00 and 13:00–23:00.

You will lead stock control and systems support, acting as a key point of contact for WMS issues and stock discrepancies. You will oversee warehouse operatives, manage stock processes, and continuously drive process improvement, reporting to FLMs and the wider operations team.

Qualifications

• Experience of inventory and stock processes within a warehouse environment.
• Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (JDA / Red Prairie).
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Effective communication, problem solving and time management skills.
• Able to be a team player or work independently, with flexibility to be hands-on when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report on the work activities of the warehouse operatives to enable effective leadership and training.
• Process stock orders, load planning, and stock handling using the Warehouse Management System following correct procedures.
• Be the point of contact for any systems and stock issues, providing resolutions as a Super User.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and establish preventative measures and best practices.
