We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, compassionate and highly motivated Intervention Practitioner to join our Inclusion Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Our 360 Inclusion provision is developing around earlier intervention, strong relationships and successful reintegration, helping students to remain connected to school and experience success in mainstream education. Working under the direction of the Assistant SENDCo, you will provide targeted intervention, mentoring and personalised support for students with identified additional needs. You will plan, deliver and evaluate evidence-informed interventions, helping students develop the confidence, resilience, independence and strategies they need to access learning successfully.

This is a highly student-facing role and would suit someone with experience of working with young people, particularly those with SEND, social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs or other barriers to learning. Depending on the needs of students, interventions may focus on areas such as emotional regulation, social communication, behaviour for learning, confidence, independence or life skills.

You will work closely with teachers, families and other professionals, and support students to transfer the strategies developed through intervention back into lessons and wider school life. Above all, we are looking for someone who believes in young people and combines warmth, patience and compassion with high expectations. You will be able to build positive and trusting relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries, remain calm and resilient when students are finding things difficult, and work collaboratively as part of a wider Inclusion Team. You will also be reflective and keen to develop specialist expertise so that the support we provide makes a demonstrable difference.

The working hours are 37 per week, term time only.
