Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Supported Internship Job Coach to join the Adult & Community Learning & ESOL department at Bedford College Group. You will play a key role in helping students succeed by supporting learning, sourcing work placements and ensuring health and safety throughout placements.

We value SEND knowledge, strong communication and organisational skills, plus a proactive, adaptable approach.

Qualifications

• Good general education with strong written and verbal communication.
• Solid understanding of SEND with experience supporting learners.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Adaptable, proactive team player with initiative and safeguarding commitment.
• Flexible working approach with own transport and DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supports learners to overcome barriers to learning and progression.
• Engages with employers to source work placements and job opportunities.
• Develops learner plans, monitors progress and reviews goals.
• Supports applications, travel training and employability skills in learning.
• Maintains records, supports safeguarding and CPD responsibilities.
