Job summary

Stafford House International in Canterbury is seeking a proactive Student Welfare Officer to support international students throughout their stay. You will welcome arrivals, assist with accommodation, and provide pastoral and welfare support in a busy, vibrant school environment.

You’ll work closely with staff to organise activities, ensure safety in the residence, and assist with day-to-day student life, contributing to a welcoming international community.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or working with young people is advantageous.
• Safeguarding awareness is important when working with youth.

Responsibilities

• Welcome students on arrival and handle accommodation queries.
• Provide pastoral and welfare support to international students.
• Support student activities, excursions and evening programmes.
• Help maintain a safe, clean residence and coordinate with staff.
• Manage general inquiries and respond promptly to requests.
• Occasionally cover emergency phone on a rota.
