Job summary

DRM Technic Ltd is seeking an experienced Internal Technical Sales Engineer for an office-based role in England. You will manage customer enquiries from initial discussion through quotation and order handover while blending customer contact with commercial responsibility and practical engineering know-how.

You will respond to technical inquiries, interpret drawings, prepare quotes, and liaise with engineering, production and suppliers. A strong CRM/ERP/MRP background is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal technical sales or sales engineering.
• Practical electrical and/or mechanical engineering knowledge.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, tolerances and BOMs.
• Experience preparing technical quotations with pricing and terms.
• Balance technical fit with cost, margin and customer expectations.
• Strong communication, organisation and numerical skills.
• Familiarity with CRM/ERP/MRP or quotation systems.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical sales enquiries by phone and email.
• Understand customer technical, operational and commercial needs.
• Interpret drawings, specs and BOMs for quotes.
• Prepare clear quotations with pricing, lead times and terms.
• Recommend suitable products or engineered solutions.
• Follow up quotations and maintain customer contact.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, purchasing and suppliers.
• Occasionally visit customer sites and trade shows as required.
• Ensure accurate order handovers and CRM records.
