Job summary

Energas, part of Air Liquide, is seeking an Internal Sales & Warehouse Operative to join our Scunthorpe team. This hybrid role blends trade counter sales with hands-on stock management and warehouse duties, delivering a local, personal service with expert support.

You will greet customers, take sales orders, process transactions, handle admin tasks, and assist with stock counts and orders. A positive, proactive attitude and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, customer-facing retail or trade counter roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and problem solving under pressure.
• Forklift license desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Trade Counter & Sales: Greet customers, take orders, process transactions.
• Customer Support & Relationship Building: Address inquiries and resolve complaints.
• Administration & Compliance: Raise credit notes, proforma invoices, end-of-day banking.
• Stock & Inventory Control: Assist with stock counts and audits; keep yard organized.
• Picking & Packing: Prepare and pack products for order fulfilment.
• Yard Operations: Safely handle and transport gas cylinders and equipment on site.

This hybrid role combines customer service and sales at our trade counter with hands-on warehouse and stock management.Key Responsibilities Include:Trade Counter & Sales: Greet trade counter customers, provide knowledgeable advice, take sales orders, and process cash/card transactions securely.Customer Support & Relationship Building: Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
