Job summary

Energas, part of the Air Liquide Group in the UK, is seeking a dedicated Driver to join the Middlesbrough team. You will operate heavy goods vehicles safely and efficiently, performing multi-drop deliveries while ensuring load security and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a full LGV C (HGV 2) license with a clean record, CPC card, ADR qualification, and strong knowledge of local regions. A good level of health, numeracy and literacy skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV C (HGV 2) license with full clean driving record and Driver's CPC card.
• Valid ADR qualification.
• Proven experience in multi-drop deliveries and good knowledge of local/regional areas.
• Good health and fitness for handling cylinders; willing to undergo a company medical if required.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills for logging and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality multi-drop delivery services to customer sites and depots on schedule.
• Maintain vehicle security and ensure equipment is in line with ADR standards.
• Keep the vehicle clean and undertake basic upkeep.
• Record daily documents: advice notes, tachograph charts, fuel logs, ensuring hours comply with WTD.
• Obtain signatures, collect payments when required, and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Adhere to Health and Environment policies and Life-Saving Rules to protect staff and the public.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Energas is currently searching for a dedicated Driver to join our Energas team in Middlesbrough. In this role, your primary mission is to operate our heavy goods vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently. You will play a pivotal part in our supply chain, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery and of company cylinders/cylinder packs.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality multi-drop delivery services, ensuring products reach customer sites and company depots on schedule.
• Maintain full responsibility for load and vehicle security, ensuring all mechanical and safety equipment is in working order in line with ADR standards.
• Ensuring your assigned vehicle is kept clean, and being responsible for its upkeep.
• Manage essential daily documentation, including advice notes, tachograph charts, and fuel mileage, while ensuring all work hours align with WTD regulations.
• Obtaining signatures, collecting payments when required, and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• Prioritise the well‑being of staff, customers, and the public by strictly adhering to our Health and Environment policies and our 12 Life‑Saving Rules.

Requirements

• A minimum LGV C (HGV 2) license with a full, clean driving record and a valid Driver's CPC Card.
• A valid ADR qualification.
• Proven experience in multi-drop deliveries and a strong geographical knowledge of the local and regional areas.
• A good standard of health and fitness is required for the manual handling of cylinders, and you must be willing to undergo a company medical if requested.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills are required for accurate logging and reporting.
• FLT Licence an advantage but not essential.
