Energas, part of the Air Liquide Group, seeks an Internal Sales & Warehouse Operative in Scunthorpe. This hybrid role blends customer service at the trade counter with hands-on warehouse and stock management to support efficient order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, customer facing retail, counter or branch environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to prioritise tasks and solve problems calmly.
• Enthusiastic attitude toward providing excellent customer service.
• Willingness to work with computer systems; forklift licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Trade Counter & Sales: greet trade counter customers, provide advice, take orders and process transactions securely.
• Customer Support & Relationship Building: address inquiries and resolve complaints; identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Administration & Compliance: raise credit notes, complete proforma invoices, log notes and perform end-of-day banking reconciliations.
• Stock & Inventory Control: assist with stock counts and audits to keep yard/warehouse organized.
• Picking & Packing: prepare, pick and pack products for order fulfillment.
• Yard Operations: safely handle and transport gas cylinders and equipment on site.
