Job summary

OA is recruiting an Internal Sales Executive to join our client's growing team in Potters Bar. The role involves managing customer enquiries, quotations and orders, while building strong relationships and developing knowledge of metals and alloys.

Based in Potters Bar, this office-based role operates Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00. A strong focus on customer service, accuracy and CRM usage is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, internal sales, or sales administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to manage multiple customers and competing priorities.
• Experience using CRM or business systems.
• Commercially aware and customer-focused.
• Proactive problem-solving and ownership.
• Willing to develop knowledge of metals, alloys, strip and wire.
• Professional and reliable with strong teamwork.
• Ability to follow pricing, lead times, and order requirements.

Responsibilities

• Be main point of contact for allocated customers, building relationships.
• Manage customer enquiries, quotations and orders from contact to delivery.
• Provide pricing, lead times, delivery and product requirements.
• Follow up quotations and grow existing accounts.
• Develop knowledge of metals, alloys, strip and wire products.
• Maintain accurate CRM data.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Warehouse, Despatch and Finance.
• Monitor orders for delays or issues and escalate.
• Handle queries and complaints professionally.
• Ensure quotations and orders meet specifications including tolerances and traceability.
• Follow quality, data protection and health & safety procedures.
