Job summary

OA Group is advertising an Internal Sales Executive role in Potters Bar. You will manage an allocated customer portfolio, handling enquiries, quotations and orders while collaborating with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Warehouse and Despatch.

A strong emphasis on developing product knowledge of metals, alloys, strip and wire is expected. The position is office-based, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a salary of £32,000–£35,000.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, internal sales, or a similar commercial role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities.
• Experience using CRM or business systems.
• Commercially aware and customer-focused.
• Proactive problem-solving and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for allocated customers, building strong relationships.
• Manage enquiries, quotations and orders from initial contact through to delivery.
• Provide pricing, lead times, delivery and product requirements information.
• Follow up quotations and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
• Develop knowledge of metals, alloys, strip and wire products.
• Maintain accurate customer, quotation and order information in the CRM.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Warehouse, Dispatch and Finance to meet customer needs.
• Monitor orders and flag delays or issues early.
• Handle queries and complaints professionally and escalate when needed.
• Ensure quotations and orders meet specifications, including material, tolerances, certification and traceability.
