Internal Sales Representative

Guildford, Surrey | Full-Time - Permanent | Office Based | £28,000

Are you a proactive, customer-focused sales professional who enjoys building relationships and delivering exceptional service? Our client, a successful and growing business within the heating and building products sector, is seeking an Internal Sales Representative to join their friendly and supportive team in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sales support, internal sales, or customer service experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in supporting customers, merchants, installers, and the external sales team while helping drive business growth.

The Role

As an Internal Sales Representative, you will be at the heart of the customer journey, managing enquiries, processing orders, supporting sales activity, and ensuring customers receive an outstanding experience from start to finish.

Sales & Business Development

• Act as the first point of contact for customer and trade enquiries
• Follow up quotations, sales leads, and promotional campaigns
• Support the field sales team in generating and retaining business
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, merchants, installers, and key accounts
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and service

Customer Service & Account Support

• Deliver a high level of service across phone and email channels
• Resolve customer queries and issues efficiently and professionally
• Provide excellent after-sales support and follow-up
• Work closely with technical and operational teams to ensure customer satisfaction

Order Processing & Administration

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Support promotional activity and pricing initiatives
• Manage customer-specific requirements and ensure smooth order fulfilment
• Maintain accurate records using CRM and order management systems

Reporting & Coordination

• Assist with sales activity reporting and campaign administration
• Support internal projects, promotions, and training coordination
• Monitor customer trends and provide valuable feedback to the wider business

About You

We're looking for a motivated and organised individual who enjoys building relationships and delivering excellent customer service. You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in an Internal Sales, Sales Support, Customer Service, or Account Coordination role
• Experience within a B2B, distribution, merchant, or trade environment would be advantageous
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Good commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
• The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a busy environment
