Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking an Internal Sales & Estimating Engineer based in Bradford. You will convert enquiries into orders by preparing accurate quotations, reviewing specs, and supporting cost estimates while nurturing relationships with customers.

The role combines technical estimating with proactive sales, requiring CRM usage, strong communication, and a target-driven mindset to drive growth and new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in internal sales, estimating, quotations or a commercial engineering role.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and introducing products and services to potential customers.
• Experience selling a manufactured or engineered product rather than a service.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to close sales opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, driven and results-focused.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate quotations based on customer requirements.
• Reviewing technical specifications, drawings and customer enquiries.
• Obtaining supplier pricing and supporting cost estimates.
• Following up quotations and progressing opportunities through the sales pipeline.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Developing business from dormant and lapsed accounts.
• Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products where appropriate.
• Attending customer meetings and industry events when required.
