Job summary

Merton Council is seeking an experienced Internal Communications and Engagement Officer to unite a workforce of over 2,000 colleagues and boost morale through clear storytelling.

You will shape how we connect with staff, deliver the internal communications strategy, launch new channels, and support leadership communications. The role requires creativity, strong writing, and hands-on video content skills to bring stories to life across the organisation.

Qualifications

• At least four years' experience in internal communications
• Self-starter with energy, initiative and a fresh perspective
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
• Develop and deliver communication and engagement plans
• Creative, proactive and confident working with senior leaders
• Able to shoot and edit engaging video content
• Loves finding new ways to engage staff and create resonant content
