Bishop Fleming LLP in Birmingham is seeking an Internal Audit Manager or Assistant Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of public sector and corporate audit engagements from our new Birmingham office. You will coach staff, manage budgets and fees, build strong client relationships and contribute to business development while progressing toward a Manager role in the near future.

Qualifications

• CIA/ACA qualification (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience managing a broad portfolio of audits across public sector, not-for-profit and corporate sectors.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan and deliver a broad range of internal audit engagements.
• Develop the internal audit team through coaching and mentoring staff.
• Monitor budgets and agree fees for assignments.
• Manage client relationships and ensure high-quality service.
• Support business development activities in relevant sectors.
