Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Yeovil is seeking an Internal Auditor at an early career stage. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to support the annual risk-based audit plan, assess internal controls and identify improvement areas in a complex industrial environment.

The role offers exposure to UK operations and potential cross-geography audits, with a focus on analytics, governance and regulatory compliance. A strong foundation in audit fundamentals and data tools is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration or Technical/Engineering.
• CIA certification (or willingness to pursue) is a plus.
• Experience in External or Internal audit fields.
• Understanding of audit fundamentals.
• Proficiency in internal audit methodology and IIA standards.
• Understanding of main core business processes (logistics, procurement, accounting, legal, compliance, program mgmt).
• Experience in using data analytics tools (Power BI, ACL, SQL or similar).
• Knowledge of UK regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits using Group regulations and in adherence with the IIA Professional Standards.
• Support planning, fieldwork, findings identification, recommendations, risk identification, report writing and work papers management.
• Support periodical follow up on agreed actions plans.
• Support preventive audit activities by analysing and evaluating the Internal Control System and suggesting improvements.
• Participate in risk assessment activities supporting the Audit Plan definition.
• Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Support development of internal audit methodologies, including data analytics and emerging technologies.
