Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead UK audit activities within the Helicopters Division. You will execute risk-based audit plans, engage with senior stakeholders, and drive improvements in internal controls across multiple geographies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance/Accounting or related discipline.
• Professional certification (CIA or equivalent) is a plus.
• Ability to independently manage audit engagements with strong risk focus.
• Sound knowledge of UK regulatory standards and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key Internal Audit reference for the UK perimeter of the Helicopters Division.
• Conduct internal audit engagements following Group regulations and IIA standards.
• Plan, perform fieldwork, identify findings, propose recommendations, and manage working papers.
• Follow up on agreed action plans and report progress regularly.
• Contribute to preventive audit activities and strengthen internal controls.
• Support risk assessment activities prior to defining the Audit Plan.
• Build solid relationships with internal stakeholders across departments.
• Contribute to development of audit methodologies, including AI and data analytics.
