Job summary

BDO UK, a leading accountancy and business advisory firm, is seeking an Assistant Manager in Financial Services Advisory (Internal Audit). This role offers exposure to internal audit engagements and regulatory advisory work across the UK FS sector.

You will plan and deliver assignments, develop deep client relationships, and work with London-based teams to provide practical, value-added solutions. A professional qualification such as ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA is preferred, with alternative qualifications

Qualifications

• Proven internal audit and/or regulatory assurance experience within Financial Services.
• Strong understanding of the UK Financial Services sector and regulatory environment.
• Experience delivering internal audit and advisory assignments with mature methodologies.
• Professional qualification such as ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA or CIIA; alternative qualifications considered.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to lead complex reviews and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver internal audit assignments and regulatory advisory engagements.
• Develop and maintain deep client relationships in Financial Services.
• Support wider Financial Services Advisory team and London clients with technical knowledge.
• Lead reviews and collaborate with colleagues to provide value.
