Job summary

Flagship Consulting is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join its Newcastle team. The role covers pre- and post-contract QS work on civil infrastructure projects, with a clear path toward senior positions within a growing consultancy.

You will support cost planning, procurement strategies and risk assessments, while maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to project Commercial management. Hybrid working options available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Consultancy/PQS experience is essential.
• NEC contract experience is essential.
• MRICS status or working towards chartership is supported.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services.
• Support the commercial management of civil, infrastructure and utility projects.
• Prepare cost plans, procurement strategies and risk assessments.
• Assist with contract administration and reporting.
• Attend client meetings and support client relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated QS to gain exposure to large-scale infrastructure and civil engineering schemes, while developing their technical and commercial expertise in a supportive consultancy environment. You'll work closely with senior colleagues, with a clear progression path towards more senior roles.

The Role

As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in:

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will bring:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Consultancy/PQS-side experience (essential)
• Exposure to infrastructure, utilities, or water projects (desirable)
• Strong commercial awareness and communication skills
• MRICS status, or currently working towards chartership (full support provided)
• Ambition to progress within a growing, collaborative business
• NEC contract experience (essential)
